Our Marri (commonly known as Red Gum) is a sweet, spicy honey - that delivered strong antibacterial benefits, being certified with Total Activity 35+ (>MGO1000). The Marri trees have a dark red sap, which give the colloquial "Red Gum" name, and their flowers are beautiful cream, white and pink. Marri trees are generous; they flower every year, and are included in the "Forest Giant" category. Marri Honey is Low GI.
Interestingly, Marri honey is our best sweetener for coffee!
Our Marri Honey is collected from the rich, remote and ancient Marri forests in Dwellingup, Western Australia.
TASTING NOTE: The flavour starts with a vibrant balance of rich, ripe-raisin-led, dried fruit flavours that evolves to a fruit-toffee sweetness with raspberry cola notes and finally resulting in a smooth toasted caramel finish.
