From Little Things Big Things Grow
Kev Carmody and Paul Kelly
If you talk to corporate executives, it is the one thing they are looking for. Unfortunately, they have difficulties recognizing it. If you are investing in a business brand you want to find.
It's called authenticity and the magic of authenticity usually comes from the initial kernel of an idea. It grows from there. In business it usually requires patience, persistence, and a little flare. The best things start little and grow. They are rarely acquired by purchase.
Little Valley was founded by Caroline Kinsella, a passionate naturopath with experience as a sale representative. With a keen eye for quality products, Caroline and her husband Glenn started the business in 2009, with a few niche products that were good for you. Within a year they employed their first helper, and then another and another. These helpers seem to still be here. And more have joined them.
Caroline and Glenn had moved to a farm on the north coast around 2003, a Little Valley in a place called Main Arm. It is called that as the creeks and estuaries all join up to the main arm or creek and then run through Mullumbimby into the Brunswick River.
From these humble beginnings the company has grown into a national distribution company employing over 35 amazing staff. We are passionate about our range of products and believe this, along with our relationships with our customers, are our greatest strengths.
We pride ourselves on our curated range of products and we are proud to support local businesses to take their brands nationally, allowing them to reach a broader community.

As we continue to grow there are new challenges and that's good. It keeps us on our toes. It's important that we always remind ourselves what made the business work when we started out. It was good relationships, good products, and good polite service, at a reasonable price. It's the basics and they are worth revisiting regularly.
Little Valley believes in giving back to the local community with regular donation's of food to the Neighborhood Center who provide healthy and nutritious meals to the most vulnerable in the community. Monetary donations we make aid in supporting the community center provide housing, counselling, and job pathway services.
At Little Valley we aim to do our bit for the environment through responsible business decisions and forward-thinking environmental policies. We have a net positive solar farm on the roof of our warehouse and use only repurposed boxes, pallets and packing materials to send your order.
We encourage our suppliers to use recyclable, reusable and compostable packing for their products and environmentally friendly packaging is something that is taken into consideration when selecting all our new products.
Alongside continually evolving environmentally conscious business practices, Little Valley is also proud to pioneer and engage in sustainability and community programs. The company partners with Brunswick Valley Landcare, to host the annual Mother's Day Tree planting of which we have proudly planted over 10 thousand trees in the Byron Shire, helping to create koala corridors and habitats throughout the Northern Rivers Region.
